Beginner Belly Dance Classes

Have you always been curious about belly dance, but felt too intimidated to try it? If so, this class is for you!
Belly dance is a beautiful art form that can be learned. You can learn how to move your body in beautiful ways no matter your age, body type, experience level, fitness level, or natural talent. Join us to find out how!
In this “In Person” class you will learn
Basic posture, carriage & arms
Beginner steps & isolations
Fun beginner combos & choreographies
A bit about the musical & cultural contexts of belly dance
Suitable for absolute beginners and dancers wanting to refine the basics. This class introduces students to the rich repertoire of moves that make belly dance a beautiful and expressive art form. Students will learn fundamental/basic techniques and short combinations each week. Classes will also include drills to help build powerful muscle control and lots of stretching to add grace and fluidity to your movements.
Bring your enthusiasm and curiosity and come have some fun with us. Please bring a scarf to tie around your hips, a bottle of water and a yoga mat for stretching. We dance in bare feet.
