Celtic music, Kiwanis and comedy this week


There are a variety of things happening in Lethbridge this week. There is a lot of Celtic music still, beginning with  Kilt Up For Cancer at the Slice, March 26. Look for the details of that on www.labeat.ca under the week’s preview.
 John McDermott is coming to Lethbridge, so look for the interview with him.
 Also this week Newfoundland  born, Calgary based comedian Trent McLellan performs this week, so check out the interview with him as well.
 And  If you like roots music with a touch of rock, check out the Steve Brockley band, who play the Slice, March 29.
 There are also lots of concert reviews and pics.
 And  The Kiwanis Music and Speech Arts Festival  begins on March 31.
 So look out the feature on  the festival and the Gilbert Paterson bands and all the work it takes to get them ready  for the festival.
 And, local film company Deadline Media are doing a documentary on Johnny Korthuis who almost died base jumping off a bridge in Idaho.
 He went back and faced his fear earlier this month.
