The next couple of weeks are going to be very busy.
There are several excellent blues gigs happening in the next few weeks.
First up is Edmonton’s The Boogie patrol, who play the Slice, Feb. 21. So check out the interview with them and their adventures in Memphis where they were playing the International Blues Challenge.
The other big blues gig coming up is Juno award winning and multiple Maple Blues award winners Monkey Junk, who play the Lethbridge College Barn,  Feb. 26, for the Geomatic Attic. So check out the interview with them as well.
If you like country music, Charlie Major comes to Lethbridge to play an acoustic set at Average Joes, Feb. 25, so check out the interview with him as well.
And if you like R and B music, JRDN will be opening for Hedley at the Enmax Centre, Feb. 21, so check out an interview with him as well.
There is also another peek at the Galt Museum’s new exhibit “ The Arts of China”  so check it out in www.labeat.ca’s Museum beat.
Lethbridge has an interesting counterculture as well, so don’t forget to look at the blurb on local zine Fourth Wave Freaks, who release their next issue at the Slice , Feb. 22. There are also lots of pictures and concert reviews as well. It’s all on www.labeat.ca
