This week  the Dragon boat races are the source of much of the live music this week.
Check out interviews with Claresholm based  country/ rockabilly musician  Shane Chisholm who not only plays the Dragon Boat Races, July 5 but also opens for Aaron  Pritchett, July 6 at Spitz Stadium.
Also  look for an interview with Aaron Pritchett about his hot new summer single Suntan City.
Lethbridge is blessed to have  folk icon in the city later  this week.
Mary Gauthier plays the Slice, July 9, so look for and interview with her as well.
And if you like vocal harmonies, you will love Winnipeg’s Sweet Alibi, who return to the Slice,  to play the owl Acoustic Lounge, july 8. They will also be playing the South Country Fair this year.Later in the week, new art shows open  at CASA and the University of Lethbridge, so look for a preview on both of them.
Also  Shakespeare in the park  opens their summer production of  the comedy AS You Like it on Friday, July 5. Last week I posted a story focussing on Shakespeare’s beloved fool Touchstone, so check it out and look for pictures and an update.
ALos later this week, CDs are piling up so look for new CD reviews and a preview of  New West Theatre’s summer theatre camps.
