Big shows this week include Big Wreck and Down With Webster

It is a busy week in Lethbridge, not that there are many slower
weeks. But this week, on L.A. Beat, look for interviews with big Wreck,
who are opening for Motley Crüe, April 30 as well as Down With Webster
who bring the party to Bully’s, April 26. It is also looking a lot
like South Country Fair Season, so look for an interview with the
Bitterweed Draw, who were a highlight of last year’s fair, and who will
be playing their first Lethbridge show playing the South Country Fair
Songwriting contest finals, April 27 at the Slice.
The big event
this week is LCI’a annual dance recital HOPE. The students are at the
Yates Centre April 23-25, dancing to the music of Vancouver’s Jason
and the Diatonics, so look for the story on that.
There are also new
columns including new horoscopes and a new Chris Hibbard The World as
I See It column about the need for a larger new music venue.
Later
in the week look for concert reviews and pics from Michale Graves,
Trevor Panczak and Rough Stock, the Pine Tarts and Ghostkeeper.
Also
later this week, there are auditions for Shakespeare In the Park’s
summer production of As You Like It on April 29, so look for the
details on that as well as on a couple of new art shows coming up on
the weekend.
