A women’s shelter and so much more.

Domestic & Sexual Violence, which includes YWCA Harbour House Women’s Emergency Shelter and YWCA Amethyst Project, which provides an important third option for victims of sexual violence.

Trauma & Crisis Prevention/Intervention, including Safe Visitation and Project Child Recovery, a support group for children ages 6-17 who have experienced trauma.

Poverty, Housing & Homelessness, which covers support for women transitioning out of Harbour House and Hestia Homes, a program that teaches independent living skills for youth ages 19-24 who are (or are at risk of becoming) homeless.

Leadership & Empowerment, including GirlSpace, youth conferences, and the Young Women’s Leadership Council.

Advocacy & Awareness – the voice for the social and economic well-being of women with government, the media and the community at large.
