On the Hunt for Moose

Many wildlife species inhabit or pass through Police Point Park but we may miss them if we’re not exploring at the right time or in the right place.  The guided walk on June 13 will focus on animals active later in the day and we will travel to areas of the Park less frequently visited.  Moose is one species we hope to encounter as they have been sighted more often in Police Point in recent years.  Of course, there are no promises to see moose but lots of other species are possible.

Since we will be exploring more rugged and distant areas of the Park, young children and visitors lacking mobility may find this walk challenging.  Also, no dogs will be allowed on the walk so please leave your furry friend at home.

We request that attendees please arrive promptly at 7:30 PM and be dressed for the weather; water and mosquito repellent are highly recommended. The program will start at the Nature Centre.

Additional information about this and other upcoming events is available through our website (www.natureline.info) or Facebook page (policepointpark).  Or, better yet, phone the Nature Centre’s Nature Line at (403) 529-6225 during our regular business hours – Tuesday through Sunday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM all year long.
